Quantum computing stocks rallied significantly last week after Nvidia’s (NVDA) CEO Jensen Huang said that quantum computing is nearing an “inflection point.”

One of the reasons this is so significant for investors is that earlier this year, Huang said that practical quantum computing was still 15 to 30 years away, triggering a selloff in quantum-related stocks.

Now that he has reversed his views on this industry, the price action has been the opposite, with many quantum computing stocks surging.

Here are three quantum computing stocks to look into now.

Quantum Computing Stock #1: D-Wave Quantum (QBTS)

D-Wave Quantum (QBTS) has been behind a series of major breakthroughs, and these breakthroughs have likely contributed to Huang changing his mind about quantum computing.

In March, the company’s 1,200-qubit Advantage2 prototype simulated the quantum dynamics of spin-glass materials in minutes. This was the first peer-reviewed demonstration of quantum supremacy on a real-world task. The same calculation would have taken about 1 million years and more energy than the world produces in a year on Oak Ridge’s Frontier supercomputer. The stock surged after a “quantum supremacy” announcement. And last month, it announced the general availability of the full Advantage2 system.

These announcements caused a surge in hype around the quantum computing sector, and the company has been very smart in taking advantage of the higher stock price. D-Wave Quantum’s management has increased outstanding shares from 208 million in Q3 2024 to 294.9 million in Q1. As a result, the cash balance has ballooned to $304 million, wiping out the main bear thesis: a short cash runway.

Not only that, the Advantage2 is seeing orders as paying customers are rising. It reported $15 million in revenue in Q1 vs. just $2 million in Q4 2024. Net loss narrowed to just $5 million, so the cash runway is now years long.

QBTS may be worth a speculative buy as it transitions from a pre-revenue company to a revenue-generating one.

Quantum Computing Stock #2: Amazon (AMZN)

Unlike pure-play quantum computing stocks, Amazon (AMZN) isn’t going to give you single-day double-digit gains (or losses, if you’re unlucky). But what it will give you is long-term safety.

The main business consists of cloud computing and e-commerce, but Amazon is quickly taking advantage of all the up-and-coming technology. It has deep pockets, and it has been able to be a very solid competitor in the AI space with its investments into Anthropic, the company behind Claude AI.

With new breakthroughs in quantum computing, it is eyeing this sector too. AWS revealed its “Ocelot” quantum computing chip in late February 2025. It already sells quantum capacity in the cloud and has a 21,000-square-feet facility.

AWS is the biggest cloud computing platform, and a consensus is emerging that quantum computing is the next step in the industry to supercharge even better AI models. Amazon’s management certainly knows that, and its deep pockets could help it quickly catch up and surpass most of its competitors. If it can then integrate all this quantum tech with AWS, it could dominate the industry.

Quantum Computing Stock #3: Rigetti Computing (RGTI)

Rigetti Computing (RGTI) hasn’t had as many quantum computing breakthroughs as D-Wave, but it has been a major beneficiary of the quantum computing rally. There are only so many pure-play quantum computing companies you can invest in, and RGTI stock is one of the premier ones.

If you want exposure to the quantum computing industry, splitting it among multiple companies in this field is the best idea, since we are still quite early before the tech goes fully commercial.

Rigetti’s architecture is the most versatile platform if fault-tolerance is reached by quantum computing. It's Ankaa-3 (84 qubits) hit 99.5%, and these numbers are roughly on par with Google’s (GOOGL) best chips.

Rigetti has also taken advantage of the stock surge and now has a $209 million cash balance, making near-term bankruptcy quite improbable.
